Best part of the episode. I love you, Pod.
I wish George RR Martin had kept the Hodor perspective chapters in ASOIAF.
My interpretation of Hodor’s chapters. Idea, obviously, is shamelessly stolen - but really, how awesome of a twist would this be? Hodor, a secret mastermind?

This is quite probably a theory that people have come up with before. If so, my greatest apologies for being ignorant! N.B. Somewhat spoilery for A Dance with Dragons, although I don’t go into any great detail.
I’ve seen in a few places the question of basically - why is Ros in this show, and…
One of my followers told me ab out this and saw it as well in the tag. I think is a pretty good theory. Yes it would make it intersting, but still I wouldn’t like Ros in the place of Jeyne.
And lol “she also constantly wears an expression like she is smelling something nasty”
I wouldn’t necessarily say that I would like it either, as I tend to be rather a purist, but if Ros was used for such a purpose it would make me a) be more okay with her character, as right now it is a bit useless except for providing more titillating scenes and having nasty-smell-faces. And b) It would actually be quite a good way for the show to go, rather than sort of re-introducing some random character we saw for literally three seconds in the first episode, by giving an already established character a very real threat and purpose.
So I guess what I’m trying to say in brief is that even though I don’t like changes because I am cranky like that, I do appreciate many of the show’s changes* and I think this would actually be one of them.
* Like shortening/not including Arya/Gendry/Hot Pie/Lommy’s desperate walk through the woods - thank goodness for that.

I’ve seen in a few places the question of basically - why is Ros in this show, and more importantly, why does she get so much screen time?
(Personally, I dislike her, but I don’t really care if others do or not. She is undeniably pretty but she also constantly wears an expression like she is smelling something nasty. Anyway, this has no bearing on the question at hand, except for inciting a slight indignation when she has extended scenes and my favourites do not.)
My theory (as I’ve said, probably postulated before) is that Ros will take the place of Jeyne Poole in A Dance with Dragons and before. It does make perfect sense, which is why I’m convinced someone must have come up with this before! After all, Jeyne was trained in Littlefinger’s brothel after she was taken from Sansa. Ros was brought up in Winterfell, even if not in the castle; she had contact with Theon at least and could potentially know many of the workers in the castle.
If this turns out to be so, I could accept the character of Ros with much less fretting. However, I might not pity her quite as much as Jeyne - it would be a horrible situation for anyone, but Jeyne was just so utterly pitiful and Ros is of stronger stuff. It would, however, make the Theon storyline in A Dance With Dragons rather interesting indeed…
lolwut?
Oop! Foreshadowing much? lol
wolf+Robb’s head= LOL
Robb+wolf’s head= WTF?!
Oh my god. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry… I think I’m laughing until I cry…
“Wishing someone would get raped is not okay. Wishing someone dies is not either. Yet everyone wishes someone (Ramsay, Joffrey) dies and nobody say a word.”
This is one of those moments when it’s safe to say: they’re not real. I do hate saying that, as it often comes across as someone thumbing their nose at the fandom and saying “get real, guys, it’s just a STORY”, but it makes sense in this instance.
Yes, it’s awful to say that someone you know personally should die, but a fictional character? Part of the fun of being a reader is to be able to judge the characters. That’s why everyone has such strong opinions - it’s not nice to have such opinions about other people, but your words can’t hurt these people because they exist in our imaginations. You can say Ramsay should die, Cersei is a whore, Dany is an idiot - and people can agree or disagree with you as they want, but in the end, it’s your judgement, your interpretation of the story.
I’m just as passionate about characters as the rest of you - it upsets me when people say Sansa should get raped, but that’s because I think it’s an extreme reaction. Ramsay and Joffrey have personally killed people, or at least indirectly contributed to their deaths, which is why when we as readers judge, we feel they should get their just deserts. However, Sansa never raped anyone, why should she be raped? Cersei may be a whore, and Dany may be an idiot - and maybe it’s not our place to judge. But as I said, part of the fun of being a reader is being able to do just that. You get to play a sort of god, watching all the characters and knowing things that they don’t know, and judging them - or loving them - for what we do know. (Although, sadly, that god-power must bow to the higher god-power that is authorship. I suppose that’s what fanfic’s for? hahaha)
Let’s stop judging each other for our opinions, please. I’m not saying every opinion is right - a lot of them are racist, sexist, whatever. But c’mon, are we really hurting anyone by judging Joffrey and Cersei as long as it doesn’t spill over to our daily lives?
Also, pet peeve: it annoys me when people jump all over others for “slut shaming” some of the female characters, but in a confession a while ago, Robb was called a slut and no one jumped to his defense! (to my knowledge, perhaps it’s changed since I last checked).
Rant over. Back to placidly watching the fandoms without saying anything. Hopefully I don’t offend anyone too badly.

I do not reblog things like ever. But I did for two reasons. 1. I agree completely (except that I read the whole thing), especially with the southern characters preference. 2. The author of this confession needs to know that the Epilogue makes the whole thing worthwhile (worthwhile in that something interesting actually happens…). It is the only thing that gives me hope for The Winds of Winter being awesome.
